The 5 Pillars of Elated Health™

1. Emotional & Relational Intelligence
Our ability to understand, regulate, and communicate emotions forms the foundation of both mental health and thriving relationships. Studies show that high emotional intelligence (EQ) is linked to greater resilience, lower stress, and stronger leadership outcomes (Mayer, Roberts & Barsade, 2008; Schutte et al., 2007). Relational intelligence—our capacity to create safe, attuned, and growth-oriented bonds—protects against loneliness, burnout, and even chronic illness. At Elated Health, we integrate evidence-based approaches (CBT, attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology) to help you navigate emotions and relationships with clarity and compassion.
2. Health
True health is multidimensional: physical, psychological, and behavioral. Research consistently shows that sleep quality, physical activity, and medical self-care are directly tied to mood stability, cognitive performance, and disease prevention (Walker, 2017; Buysse, 2014). In high-performance individuals, these basics are often overlooked in favor of achievement. Our work focuses on restoring the body’s natural rhythms, reducing stress load, and fostering longevity through sustainable health practices.
3. Mood & Food
The food-mood connection is undeniable. Nutritional psychiatry research demonstrates that diets rich in whole foods—fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and omega-3s—are associated with lower risk of depression and anxiety (Jacka et al., 2017; Marx et al., 2017). Meanwhile, stress and trauma can distort appetite and create disordered eating patterns. Through The Mood-Food Method™, we integrate psychology with nutrition to help clients heal their relationship with food, regulate appetite, and create rituals that nourish both body and nervous system.
4. Soul
Well-being is incomplete without meaning. Viktor Frankl’s work (Man’s Search for Meaning) and contemporary research on purpose show that having a sense of existential direction improves mental health, reduces mortality risk, and buffers against stress (Hill & Turiano, 2014). Soul work—whether through spiritual practices, rituals, or inner reflection—grounds us in something greater than ourselves. At Elated Health, we encourage practices that connect clients to authenticity, spirituality, and the deeper “why” behind their lives.
5. Executive Psychology
High performers—surgeons, attorneys, founders, creatives—carry unique psychological burdens: perfectionism, imposter syndrome, chronic stress, and relational blind spots. Research shows that executive coaching and psychology-based interventions can dramatically improve leadership effectiveness, decision-making, and life satisfaction (Kampa-Kokesch & Anderson, 2001; Grant, 2017). Our executive psychology pillar integrates performance strategies with deep psychological healing, helping individuals align success with authenticity and sustainability.
The Integration
Each pillar is powerful on its own. But the transformation happens when all five are integrated:
- Emotional & relational intelligence provides stability in connection.
- Health sustains energy and longevity.
- Mood & food anchor emotional regulation through nourishment.
- Soul work fuels resilience and meaning.
- Executive psychology ensures performance without burnout.
Together, they create a complete system of well-being that supports both the human and the high performer.
